Most Muslims recite Al - Quran in their daily lives. Therefore, basic Al - Quran needs to be introduced to children at an early age. T he purpose of this paper is to identifying the component of courseware for child ren to learn basic A l - Quran and design ing the courseware. The target group of this study is children aged four to six years, and learning is done through Book 1 of the Jom Ngaji series. The name of the courseware is MyNGaji. The des ign methodology used in study applied the Persuasive System Design (PSD) steps in order to research and to check the activities are going in the right direction

The World Wide Web has brought an enormous improvement in the lives of people, during the last couple of decades. E-commerce is a new area arisen during this evolutionary period and has changed the traditional trading approaches for selling products and services. It uses different techniques to discover a market trend and analyze the competitor’s activities by exploiting reviews’ information. On the other hand, potential customers, also, use the online opinion to make their purchase decision. Opinion mining and sentiment analysis are the most critical and fundamental domains of data mining which can be useful for variety its sub-domains such as opinion summarization, recommendation system and opinion spam detection. Opinion mining and all its sub-branches can be performed efficiently when there is a comprehensive understanding of the most effective features applied in those domains. To achieve the best results, we need to use the most proper set of features for different case studies in order to classification or clustering. To the best of our knowledge, there is no extensive study and taxonomy of variety range of features and their applications in opinion mining. In this paper, we do comprehensive investigation on various types of features exploited in variety sub-branches of opinion mining domain. We present the most frequent features’ sets including structural, linguistic and relation-based features as a complete reference for further opinion mining research. The results proved that using multiple types of features improve the accuracy of opinion mining applications

Applying Neural Network Approach with Imperialist Competitive Algorithm for Software Reliability Prediction

Software systems exist in different critical domains. Software reliability assessment has become a critical issue due to the variety levels of software complexity. Software reliability, as a sub-branch of software quality, has been exploited to evaluate to what extend the desired software is trustable. To overcome the problem of dependency to human power and time limitation for software reliability prediction, researchers consider soft computing approaches such as Neural Network and Fuzzy Logic. These techniques suffer from some limitations including lack of analyzing mathematical foundations, local minima trapping and convergence problem. This study develops a novel model for software reliability prediction through the combination of Multi-Layer Perceptron Neural Network (MLP) and Imperialist Competitive Algorithm (ICA). The proposed model has solved some of the problems of existing methods such as convergence problem and demanding on huge number of data. This model can be used in complicated software systems. The results prove that both training and testing phases of this model outperform existing approaches in terms of predicting the number of software failures

On-line analytical processing tools for land revenue management system

A functional data warehouse organizes and stores all of the available data needed for informational, analytical processing over a historical time perspective. The whole purpose of building the data warehouse is to give an identified set of users a particular set of data. This study is focusing on data analysis tools for tbe land revenue system used by a state government. Land Office is one of the major revenue providers for tbe state government. According to the report provided by the land office in one of the states in 1999, the total income collected through land office was more than RM15 million [61. A system was developed in 1995 to facilitate the collection process. This system is called Sistem Pentadbiran Basil Tanah (SPHT) or Land Revenue Management System. This paper will describe bow a data analytical tool is going to be implemented in the system in order to provide a better mechanism in the decision-making process. New system architecture is proposed in order to maintain the existing system while at the same time providing new analytical processing tools capabilities. Issues regarding the database architecture are also discussed

Common Sub-Expression Identification Strategy for MQO

In query optimization, a query can be executed with different strategies, known as execution plan. The query optimizer will determine the best execution plan for a single query. However, when there are more than one query to be executed together, the locally optimal strategies for single queries may not be the best choice for obtaining a globally optimal execution cost. This will require for a multiple query optimizer that is able to select an alternative plan for each query in order to obtain an optimal global execution plan for the multiple queries. An optimal global plan can be obtained in two ways, by using an admissible heuristic with the search algorithms or by decreasing the number of search space through reducing the number of alternative plans generated. In generating alternative plans, the number and quality of the alternative plans produced are the major factors that will determine the performance of multiple-query optimization. In this paper, we propose the sharing opportunities for identifying the common sub-expressions

XML and relational data integration with CMW

The demand for rapid data integration is getting higher as more and more information sources appear in modern enterprises. Extensible Mark-up Language (XML) is fast becoming the new standard for data representation and exchange on the World Wide Web, e.g., in B2B e-commerce, making it necessary for data analysis tools to handle XML data as well as traditional data formats

Comparing three simulation model using taxanomy: system dynamic simulation, discrete event simulation and agent based simulation

    No full text
Simulation model is one of the methods commonly used in Operational Research in order to represent the real situation that occurs in a system as well as to test the scenario based on different behavior. In this paper we discuss about three different models used in simulation: system dynamic, agent based simulation and discrete event simulation. The aim of this paper is to compare all these three methods in context of features, advantages, disadvantages and tools being used in each simulation method. The comparison of this paper also includes the classification of simulation model using taxonomy. Throughout this paper, we view a few software tools usually being used in a simulation like Vensim, ProModel and AnyLogic. The requirement engineering (RE) practice was implemented without knowing by IT Personnel. This RE framework design purposely to identify the RE practice that implemented during software project requirement in Malaysian Public Sector. We determine the software requirement system (SRS) flow from the initial interview. We have a list of IT Personnel RE practice experience for the software project from the pilot test. We identified the problem arise and the RE practice implemented from the actual survey. The RE practice that identify will validate by the IT expert in Malaysian Public Sector. We plan to developed standards, tools, and methods can help to improve the current practice. Our expectation is the practice that can be as a guideline to IT Personnel using RE practice during software project requirement

The rapid technological development, the courseware technologies have gained an increasing use in the field of education. Interactive learning is a more hands-on, real-world process of relaying information to children. Interactive learning empowers children to explore and they are invited to participate in the conversation, through technology. This study attempts to use persuasive design to understand the human behavior change. The objective of this paper is describing the conceptual framework of interactive learning using persuasive design for young children learn Arabic language. This conceptual is designed as a first step to ensure attainment the objective of this courseware which is interactive and improve the children learning. The courseware will be focused on book 1 of the IQRA series. This conceptual framework consists of four different concepts to support the learning process which are: (1) Flash card (2) Persuasive Design (3) Cognitive theory of multimedia learning and (4) Multimedia principles. This courseware provides an alternative way to persuade young children to learn Arabic characters one by one and then learn using the IQRA technique. Hopefully, with this interactive learning model will help the children to improve their ability to recite the Quran effectively and efficiently
